To configure Mac OS X for dial up access follow
the instructions outlined below.
1. In the
Apple Menu
(top left), go down and select System
Preferences.
2. Click the
Network
Icon.
3. Click the arrow box on the
Show pop-up list and choose
Internal Modem, then click on the
TCP/IP tab.
4. Click the arrow box on the
Configure pop-up list and choose
Using PPP.
5. In the Domain Name Servers box, type the DNS server addresses
for your domain 196.12.161.1 and
196.12.161.2.
6. In the
Search Domains box,
type your domain (i.e. mundolink.net).
7. Click on the
PPP tab. In
Service Provider type
Mundolink.Net.
8. In the
Telephone Number
field, and type the access number for your area. Metro Area users
type 787-474-9980. Users outside Metro Area check
here for
your
access
number.
9. Enter your username in the
Account
Name field, and your password in the password field. Check
the box labeled Save password.
10. Click the
PPP Options
button.
11. Check the box next to
Connect
automatically when starting TCP/IP applications.
12. Uncheck the box next to
Prompt to
stay connected.
13. Uncheck the box next to
Disconnect if idle.
14. Check the box next to
Disconnect
when user logs out.
15. Click the
OK button.
16. Click on the
Proxies tab,
and uncheck all the boxes.
17.Click on the
Modem
tab.
18. Click the arrow box on the
Modem
pop-up list and choose Apple Internal
56K Modem (v.90).
19. Click the
Tone radio
button in the Dialing area.
20. Check the box next to
Show modem
status in menu bar.
21. Click the
Apply Now button
and close the Network window.
